Houston, we had a problem...

Not exactly the words spoken by Jim Swigert on Apollo 13, but it captures what I'm trying to convey. It seems we had an issue with the Kindle version of my two volume work, Access to Justice on the Outskirts of Hope. Immediately we went into "failure is not an option mode" (words never even remotely uttered in relation to Apollo 13) and went about repairing the electronic version.

The book was "live" for about a month before the issues came to my attention. It seems that there were a couple of issues with the table of contents (layout issue) and especially the footnotes. This last issue was most nettlesome as they were hot-linked to ... presumably the Endnotes at the back of each volume but instead it hot-linked the reader into the great unknown.

Upon being apprised of these issues, my IT support at JettRose Media, LLC sprung into action. As it turns, they discovered that Kindle has had problems with non-fiction books, particularly footnotes. After investigating the crux of the issues, repairs were made and Volume 1 was uploaded yesterday and Volume 2 will be uploaded by the end of the week. Anyone who previously purchased the Kindle version of the book will be automatically notified and updated.

Those who purchased the print version did not have these issues.

To anyone inconvenienced by the issues associated with the Kindle version of the book, I sincerely apologize. If you saw these issues and used language that I used when I found out about them, please give it another look.

As always, if anyone wants to comment on format or content - and I love hearing about content - please sign up to my blog and leave me a message.
